This is to notify all those who made Ahmadu Bello University their first and second choice that the pos-utme date is out

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:

1. All candidates who chose Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as their first choice university and have satisfied the following pre-requisites are eligible to attend the screening exercise which is scheduled to take place on 3rd ,4th , 5th and 7th August, 2010 at 8.00 a.m each day.

1. Candidates who scored 180 and above in UTME for science based courses;
2. Candidates who scored 190 and above in UTME for Arts, Social Science, Law and administration;
3. All candidates who fall within the cut off point in (a) and (b) above must have the prescribed subject combinations in the UTME examination as required by their proposed courses of study (information as contained in the JAMB brochure for UME candidates)

N.B THOSE WHOSE UTME SUBJECT COMBINATIONS ARE NOT CORRECT NEED NOT COME AS THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE.

2. Candidates who qualify for the screening exercise as listed above are required to pay a non-refundable fee of One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) only.

3. Procedure for Online Registration UTME Screening

Registration commences on Monday 19th July, 2010

Candidates can pay the sum of One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) only in any of the under listed banks nationwide and obtain a login pin:-

2. Register online at www.abu-pume.net or you go to www.abu.edu.ng and click UTME Screening Registration

1. Click on Candidate's Login
2. Type a valid pin purchased from any branch of the listed banks.
3. Get your scanned passport size photograph in JPEG format ready for upload. Enter the teller number you were given by the bank and your O/Level results (where available). Choose awaiting result where applicable. Ensure that your photograph is uploaded.
4. Click on submit button.
5. Candidates should print 2 copies of the registration slip and bring along during the screening exercise.
6. Candidates are advised to report at their respective Faculties to verify their names and venues a day before their scheduled dates of screening.

# SCREENING

What to bring for the screening:-

1.

Original and photocopy of JAMB notification slip;
2.

HB pencil;
3. Original screening fees payment tellers and Registration slip for sighting;
4. Photocopy of SSCE and NECO Statement of results or certificates ( where available).

Please note that:-

(i) GSM Phones are not allowed during screening exercise.

(ii) Parents, Guardians and uninvited law enforcement agencies will not be allowed into the venues during the UTME Screening Exercise.

Any eligible candidate who fails to appear for the screening exercise on the dates indicated in paragraph 5 above would not be considered for admission into the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria during the 2010/2011 academic session.

All concerned are advised to abide by the guidelines for a hitch free screening exercise.
