These are the candidates who can secure admission into tertiary institutions without combining two results, he said.

Some of these errors and omissions occurred during online registration for the examination, while some were committed during the actual conduct of the examination.
The results of 109,201candidates, representing 8.0% are being withheld based on various reports of their alleged involvement in examination malpractice.
Furthermore, 1,007,659candidates, or 73.3% have two credits and above, 860,665candidates (62.68%) have three credits and above, and 718,269candidates (52.3%) have four credits and above Also, 574,108candidates (41.87%) obtained five credits and above, while 426,244 candidates (31.04%) obtained six credits and above.
Uwadiae said all the reports on cases of involvement in examination malpractice were being compiled for presentation to the Nigeria Examinations Committee of the council. He added that, "the committee's decisions on the various cases will be communicated to the affected candidates shortly, through their schools."
Candidates who sat for the examination can check for their results in details through their school principals or with their scratch cards on the council's website: www.waecdirect.org within the next 24 hours.
Uwadiae disclosed that the printing of the certificates for the November/December 2007 WASSCE diet has commenced and will be completed soon.
However, WAEC has printed and delivered the certificates of candidates that sat the May/June 2007 WASSCE to its zonal and branch offices. Candidates should contact their schools for the certificates.

Are there any plain by waec to upgrade the marks of students especially in MATHEMATICS since there were mass failures, and the students need maths to enter the university.

this information is very important. the waec board should make provisions that the MATHEMTICS obj papers be checked because a student friend from federal government college enugu complains that he made a mistake while writing/shading his paper codes. similar cases may have led to the mass failures recorded (please this information must reach the waec authorities).
