Dunlop set to change name

Dunlop Nigeria plc is considering changing their name to suit their business modification. Recall that their tyre manufacturing business collapsed last year, hence the management decided to rather get involved with importation of tyres and exportation of rubber from its plantation in Delta and Cross River states.
The name being considered is DN tyre & rubber plc, and this was to be the main agenda in the extraordinary general meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd 2009.
The memorandum and articles of association of the company is also to be amended to reflect the replacement of the existing brand name with the new one.
The shareholders are expected to endorse the proposal first before the application can be sent to the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Nigeria Stock Exchange.
